The kiddos from the mile-"high" state are in town!

Tonight the Wild are back in action after three days off to host the Colorado Avalanche. Minnesota is looking for its first first five game winning streak of the season tonight too. This is the 3rd meeting between the two this season and we all remember opening night very well, when Minnesota won 7-0 at the X. In fact, Colorado has yet to score a goal against Minnesota in the two matchups this season. The Wild also won 3-0 at the Pepsi Center following their opening night win. Who could forget the playoffs last season when the Wild eliminated the Avs in seven games. Yet, Minnesota finds its behind Colorado in the playoff picture as Colorado is 9th and Minnesota is 10th. Now only one point separates both teams but the Avs have played better hockey lately going  9-4-3 in their past 16.

It will be Devan Dubnyk for starting for the ninth straight time tonight and the Avs will go with Semyon Varlamov. Dubnyk is 6-1 with a 1.48 goals-against average and .943 save percentage. Dubnyk in his career against Colorado is 8-5-1 with a 2.24 GAA, a .934 SV% and one shutout in 15 starts. Varlamov has started all but one of Colorado's last 18, owning a 9-5-2 with a 2.10 goals-against average and .934 save percentage in that stretch. No lineup changes for Minnesota tonight. Justin Fontaine and Christian Folin are scratched again and former Gopher, Jordan Schroeder will dress again.

Minnesota will get to see one of its favorite tonight, Jerome Iginla! He leads the Avalanche with 16 goals and has the most goals (37) and points (67) of any player ever against the Wild. Lets see if the doobie can keep those pucks out of the net. Check back at 6:45 for the gamethread and Go Wild!
