Unfortunately we come to you today after a tough loss at home for your Minnesota Wild last night who allowed my cat to get the best of them. It's not their fault really, he's a machine and cannot be stopped. To top it off, the Winnipeg Jets earned 2 points last night too, winning in a shootout against the St. Louis Blues. The Wild are now just a single point ahead of the Jets for the 7th seed in the West with the Blues coming to town tomorrow.
It's not all bad news though Wilderness! My nieces basketball team, the Eastview Lightning ladies will be playing for their 2nd consecutive state title on Saturday after beating St. Thomas last night. They will do battle against Hopkins who are sure to be a tough opponent for the Lightning ladies, but they will do their best and I have confidence that they will come out on top. GO LIGHTNING!
NHL fans unfortunately got some bad news yesterday as well. Matthew Wuest, the legend behind CAPGEEK passed away yesterday after a 2 1/2 year battle with colon cancer. He had a great love for the game and provided a reference most of us found indispensable. Our thoughts are with the entire Wuest family during this heartbreaking time. #FuckCancer
Lastly, I must apologize for my scarcity as of late. My family is in the process of moving so my time has been at a premium and I just have not had the kind of time you deserve from me. Everything will be back to normal as we turn the calendar over to April, but for about the next dozen days or so I will be mostly out of commission. I'll try to pop my head in every now and again to say hello. Thank you for your patience! Now, for your musical selection, one of my favorites, Rebulba by moe. LIVE!
FRIDAY BONUS SONG!
Ever come across one of those songs you haven't heard in years and then, POOF! It's stuck in your head for at least a week? This group has to have one of my absolute favorite band names ever, and they even put it to song. It's everything one should expect from a pop-rock video, catchy hook, steady beat, and lip-syncing that just screams we don't give a f$!# about shooting this damn video. So if you're rock'n'roll, disco, or a heavy metal angel, this one's for you.
