Minnesota heads to Toronto looking for another franchise record

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight the Minnesota Wild faceoff with the Toronto Maple Leafs in Can-a-d-a. If the Wild can find another road win, it will be a franchise record ninth straight victory away from the X. Devan Dubnyk is in net. Have you not heard?

Dubnyk is 0-1-1 with a 5.14 GAA and a .840 SV% in three games (two starts). Its the same Wild lineup tonight too. Ryan Carter is ready to go, but Yeo will make a decision on that after tonights game. Pominville owns 50 points (19-31=50) in 53 games against Toronto, his highest total against any team. Thomas Vanek has 49 points (22-27=49) in 51 games against Toronto too. Vanek has eight points (5-3=8) in a seven-game point streak – the longest on the Wild this season.

Toronto has been a in downward spiral since firing their coach in December. Ready, for this one? Since the Wild acquired Dubnyk, the Wild allowed 52 goals. The Leafs have allowed 52 goals the past 13 games and 40 of them in their past nine (Kudos to Mr. Russo).  Minnesota historically not had too much success in Toronto as they are 1-6-0 at Air Canada Centre. Check back at 6:15 for the gamethread. Go Wild!
