Wilderness Walk: What's Next Edition

The Wild showed some real gritz last night and battled back after being down 2-0 early in the game.

And as a reward for all the Wild's hard work last night in "Smashville", they look like they will draw the Blues in the opening round of the playoffs. Unless the Avalanche decide to do us a solid and beat the Blackhawks in regulation, and we continue our road dominance and earn 2 points in against the Blues on Saturday (regulation, OT or SO is fine) we would then pull off the match up a lot of fans are dreaming of, and face the Predators in round 1. If we do our job, and the Avs figure out this hockey thing for just 1 game, the fans in Nashville will get at least 2 more opportunities to boo Ryan Suter before October. We all know how much they love to boo Suter (Yet not Shea Weber who forced their team to pay a kings ransom to keep him).

Besides lining ourselves up to face the Blues, how about that Darcy Kuemper kid, huh? He came out pretty shaky, and many a joke were cast on twitter and in our own game thread here. Yet after the opening 20 minutes, he turned into a brick wall, making some spectacular saves even to help the Wild find their legs and gut out their NHL record tying 12th-straight road victory. Proud of you kid, so proud!

Today's musical selection comes to us from the home of one Nate Prosser, Elk River. I actually played a show with these guys years ago on Cinco de Mayo. Good kids, fun kids, despite where they hail from. Here they are, Spoons and Chopsticks!
