Finallllyyyy hockey is back

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Short preview for today, even though its been a long time since there was hockey played here and not by college teams. Tonight the Wild host the reigning Eastern Conference Champions the New York Rangers. With players retruning from injuries, a log jam is about to be created for Mike Yeo. The 4th line tonight will be Ryan Carter - Kyle Brodziak - Jordan Schroeder. Devan Dubnyk will start between the pipes as the Wild are close to clinching a playoff spot. Dubnyk has never faced the Rangers in his (MVP) career.

Minnesota is 4-4-1 at Xcel Energy Center against New York in their lifetime. New York has also been playing well since the all star break like the Wild. The Wilds plus-47 goal differential since Jan. 15 leads the NHL, with the Rangers second at plus-25. Thats an insanse difference from 1st the 2nd. Minnesota will look to add to its five game winning streak. Check back at 6:45 for the gamethread.
