After clinching a playoff spot for a third straight season, the Wild will rest up a handful of regulars tonight. Darcy Kuemper will start tonight for the first time since January 6. Its the first time in 39 games someone not named Devan Dubnyk is starting between the pipes. Kuemper was hot to begin the season, but cooled off significantly by Turkey Day and beyond. Kuemper is 2-0-0 with a 2.12 GAA, .909 SV% and one shutout in three starts against Nashville in his career. Despite a night off for Dubnyk, he will be back between the pipes on Saturday for the regular season finale against the Blues.
Minnesota will give a new look up front too. Parise, Nino, Vanek will all sit out tonight. Matt Cooke returns tonight too. Ryan Carter and Sean Bergenheim will also dress.
Zucker - Koivu - Stewart
Bergenheim - Granlund - Pominville
Cooke - Coyle - Schroeder
Carter - Brodziak - Fontaine
Minnesota is 2-1-1 against Nashville this season and have an all time record of 10-13-4 at Nashville. Minnesota holds a franchise-record streak of 11 straight road wins.
