Wilderness Walk: Gordon Bombay Edition

Hard to believe it's already Wednesday, but this is a short week for many across the Wilderness. Today's news brings plenty of hockey, some coaching tidbits and Emilio Estevez.

It took 2 rounds plus 5 games, but coach Gordon Bombay has finally emerged from the darkness to rally his Mighty Ducks to a 3-2 series lead and put the Blackhawks on the ropes.  In all seriousness, the Twitter machine almost broke down following an Emilio Estevez tweet encouraging the Ducks to victory prior to game 5 of the Western Conference Finals (You can read the article below or check out @Emiliotheway).  Twitter will be watching for more from the coach as the Ducks and Hawks take the ice in Chicago tonight with the Blackhawks facing elimination.

In the East, the Rangers showed up in a big way to defeat the Lightning and force the series to a decisive game 7 back in New York.  Ben Bishop was chased in the third period, which saw the Rangers net 5 goals.  The Lightning added a couple goals in garbage time, but this game could have easily ended 5-1 instead of 7-3.

Closer to home, we continue to prepare for the draft and free agency with the Devan Dubnyk contract talks starting this week.  We will also continue to deliver our Exit Interviews and Mock Draft pieces each day leading up to the draft.  Here's your Wednesday Walk:
