Wilderness Walk: We Have A Goalie Edition

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

News from around the interweb is mostly about the Wild finally being able to sign a deal with Devan Dubnyk. The contract deals seem like a best-case scenario for both sides. Dubnyk gets six years and the Wild get a cap hit of less than $5 million dollars per year. Also got a couple of articles on some more Wild draft picks as well as a complete look at trades from around the league.

Good luck at the Dubnyk contract. Like I said above--this is a good deal for both sides and we should be happy of the work Fletcher was able to do. Also, congratulations Devan!

Greenway is seen as 'heck of a pick' for Wild -
Good insight into the #50 selection of the NHL draft, Jordan Greenway. This article really got me excited about this kid even though it will be a few years before we see him in Forest Green (I'm assuming the Iron Range Red jersey will be retired by then. Damn you Wild, damn you!)

It looks like the Sabres and Oilers are going to dominate the NHL very very soon. Also, people are still laughing at the Boston Bruins draft-pick methodology. Who knew getting drunk and throwing darts at a wall wouldn't yield good results?
