Three years ago in the summer of 2012 the Wild made the biggest free agent signings of its young franchise. Many--myself included--viewed these signings as the cornerstone of the new Minnesota Wild. Instead of playing Warren Peters on the first line this new Minnesota Wild franchise was not only going to make the playoffs three years in a row but would also win a couple of series as well.
The signings I'm talking about --the ones that ever Wild fan would point to as our new foundation--are Zenon Konopka and Torrey Mitchell. Both of these free agent signings were signed July 1, 2012. Happy 3 Year anniversary to the stars that made the Minnesota Wild what they are today!
