Congratulations, Wilderness,  you have done it.  You've survived the dreadful emptiness that follows a team when they are dispatched from the playoffs following a successful season, dramatic second-half charge, and first round dismantling of the big, bad Blues.  You have traversed the NHL entry draft and free agency and gotten to know a relative few new names and faces.  You've pondered, predicted, and pontificated  about the future of the team and the playoff road that seems to inevitably run through Chicago.  You've seen the developing youth at prospect camp and in Traverse City.   You've survived the quiet.  And now, IT'S ALL HAPPENING.

The players have been in town for captain's practices for a few days, but things officially kick off today as players report to the Wild for physicals and hit the ice tomorrow.  We will have game action as soon as Monday, and just three short weeks of camp until opening night at the Pepsi Center in Denver against the Avalanche.  Everybody with a contract in the organization will start here, but the cuts will fly fast and furious and before you know it, we will get to see what the roster will look like as we embark on the 2015-16 season.

So, buckle up.  It's about to get crazy.   Today's Walk begins with the best intro music on the planet.
