Pre-season Game 5: Wild vs Jets

New, comments
Bruce Fedyck-USA TODAY Sports

The Wild host the Winnipeg Jets in a regular season dress rehearsal. Even better is that the game can be seen on the NHL Network locally.

If you're thinking to yourself "Wow, it looks like the Wild are bringing their full lineup", that's because they pretty much are from here on out. They sent about 17 dudes packing today, so if you were hopeful that Gustav Olofsson and Kurtis Gabriel were going to get on the roster, tough noogies.

Of the roster hopefuls still around and in the lineup tonight, we've got Brett Bulmer, Tyler Graovac, and Mike Reilly. An injury to Justin Fontaine earlier this week means that Graovac's chances of sticking with the Wild out of camp are increased, and you can see the Wild trying to figure out what they have in him by moving Charlie Coyle to the wing. This gives Mike Yeo a look at another potential Mikko Koivu line, where he's flanked by fellow two-way players in Coyle and Nino Niederreiter.

As for the Jets, we've got some regulars in the lineup, but they're not icing their "A" team, with several guys like Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien taking tonight off.
