The Wild don't play their next pre-season game until Thursday, so in the meantime, they've traveled up to Duluth for some teambuilding and practicing, which will be open to the public tomorrow in Amsoil Arena, the home of UMD. As someone who's lived in Superior for the past 8 years, I'm really excited to have the opportunity for the Wild to come up to here, rather than me have to travel 150 minutes to see them.

Here's a taste of some of the music you could find in Duluth to accompany you on your Walk.

Wild News

Justin Fontaine Out "a Few Weeks"- Speaking of Duluth, Fontaine won't be practicing at his alma mater's arena tomorrow. A shame if he misses any real time for the Wild, as he's made a huge impact in non-ideal situations.

Hard-nosed Strachan has a soft spot off the ice - Probable Iowa Wild defenseman Tyson Strachan saves puppies, like David Backes does. He even one-ups Backes with his puppy-saving by not promptly eating the puppies after saving them, which is commendable.

Wild's Thomas Vanek says he's a playmaker, but team still needs goals - In case you missed it, I had some thoughts about what to do with Vanek yesterday.

Minnesota Wild: Battle Brewing at Goaltender - Gone Puck Wild- Niklas Backstrom could play every pre-season game, not allow a goal, and I would still not give him a passing thought in net for the Wild.

Systems Analyst: Forwards playing defense in 3-on-3 OT is going to be hilarious | theScore- We talked about this article on the Hockey Wilderness Podcast which should be dropping in the next day or so. It's pretty awesome. Our own Alec Schmidt found another example of hilarious defensive play from forwards.

Central Intelligence: Metropolitan Division - Articles - Articles - Homepage - Wild Xtra- As for the Metro Division, the Islanders are probably going to be my bandwagon team, out of sheer gratitude for Spurgeon and Niederreiter.
