The Wild are busy in the Sunshine state, while some of their prospects are busy overseas.

The WIld played an interesting game in Tampa Bay last night. The last five minutes of regulation almost killed me, I swear. I had to start resort to my girlfriend's dorky deep breathing techniques to keep going, it was terrible.

Tonight they're in Sunshine to play the Panthers, who have been white hot, winning eight in a row. It's still uncertain, but it sure sounds like good Minnesota boy Nick Bjugstad could be back in the lineup tonight, after missing their winning streak with migraines. Check out Florida's perspective here.

While the Wild are busy in Florida, they have prospects busy overseas on the World Junior Tournament, the quarterfinals which happened yesterday.

The perfect musical number for a Sunday with a lot of news about hockey children.

Tending the Fields

Matthews' hat trick launches U.S. to semifinal round | This was actually a very boring game to watch. It ended 7-0, and was never in question. The Czeks pulled their goalie after the first period, and put in 2015 Wild draft pick Alex Stezka, who let in five goals. He looked overmatched, but the whole team was dominated. Louis Belpedio didn't have a point, and I didn't notice him, but I wasn't paying much attention.

Russia survives Denmark on Kamenev's OT winner | Denmark almost upset Russia. I watched the end of this, it was pretty intense. Kaprizov was minus one, and only had one shot, but looked involved offensively in the parts I saw.

WJC 2016: Sweden Dominates Slovakia - TSS The quarter final game that I didn't see! Joel Erikkson Ek scored the first goal, and had seven shots.

Finland sends defending champion Canada home with rousing performance | This game was a wild ride from start to finish. The turning point may have been when Finland replaced their starter with Wild prospect Kaapo Kahkonen, who let in two goals, but also settled things down and allowed the momentum to change. He ended the game with a .917 s%
