Of course, 1 goal wasn't enough for the Dallas Stars. 4 goals would suffice just the same as 1 as they blanked the Wild last night. Dallas converted on just 1 of 6 power play chances, so we got that going for us. Add in an empty net goal and really, for a Minnesota Wild team playing it's B-squad, they didn't do that bad against the best of the West.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, not bad doesn't win games and all that stuff. I know. With expectations pretty low for this wounded team, it's tough to be all that disappointment in them. Don't count this team out quite yet. We've seen them back into the playoffs before, we've seen them succeed against division champions the previous 2 playoff attempts. Maybe put an asterisk next to the Avalanche series. They're just terrible. It laughable to see their fans clamoring about how they are more deserving or would be soooo much better in the playoffs. Reverse our points at the end of the season, they would be backing in as well, so just stow that garbage Av's fans.
For your musical selection today, an homage to the Wild's game last night. A little song by a band you might have heard of, How To Disappear Completely by Radiohead. It's a good mellow groove, give it a listen while you lick your wounds today Wild fans.
