We're getting closer to competitive hockey games, but not quite close yet.

When Jimmy Vesey FINALLY choosing his team has been the lead story across the NHL for 2 weeks straight, you know it's August.  Mercifully, he can sign as soon as Friday and the media will be forced to move on.  Until then, you still get to hear about it.  There is so little going on across the league, many are just looking forward to the silence that will follow Vesey's signing.  But  even while we are in peak shutdown, the days continue to pass, and we are getting closer to players hitting the ice...
