Wilderness Walk: FCO, GVT

Pardon me for bringing the mood down, Wilderness, but bear with me. This past Friday, at roughly 5:00 PM, I received word that a dear friend had been taken to a hospital in Pennsylvania due to a "cardiac event." At 6:50, I got word that he had passed away. Gary was one of the kindest, most giving people I’ve known. He gave the final years of his life to an organization he owed nothing to, serving as head of merchandise and on the Board of Directors for the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, where we met.

Because of that connection, I offer that group’s official song as a tribute to my friend. For any curious: "FCO" is the abbreviation of the corps motto: Finis Coronat Opus, or The End Crowns the Work.

In the meantime! There is hockey news! and we’re getting closer to real hockey! Yay!
