Wilderness, today I’d like to feature one of my new favorite pieces of wind band literature. It’s title is "House Plants in Terra-cotta Pots". Named after the house plants in the simple ceramic pots found in homes everywhere, this piece aims to recreate the simple beauty of house plants. And so, I feature another simple beauty: Nate Prosser. Having perhaps his best season in a Wild uniform, Nate’s game is simple and effective. It is, in its own way, beautiful. As someone who gets a lot of schtick, including and especially from yours truly, this goes to you, Nate.
