Wilderness Walk: The Swiss Mister

New, comments

Nino Niederreiter returned from injury in a big way last night.

Buffalo Sabres v Minnesota Wild

Nino Niederreiter by himself against the entire Buffalo Sabres team... Who ya got?

The Swiss Mister wasted no time getting in the scoring column after returning from a foot injury that had kept him sidelined for five games. Nino scored his first goal 69 seconds (nice) into the contest last night, and followed that up with two more markers to complete his second career hat trick by the 4:02 mark of the second period. It’s safe to say that Niederreiter enjoys playing against Buffalo, as he now has five goals in two games against the Sabres this season, and both of his career hatties have come against that team.

The Wild is fully healthy, and it is rolling. Minnesota has gained ground in the standings, as it is now back in the last Wild Card spot and five points behind third-place Nashville for a more secure playoff position.

Taking us through today’s Walk is Michael Bublé with his take on a classic feel-good tune.
