Ok readers, this is it, the moment none of you have been waiting for (because it just occurred to me):
The 2017-18 All Minnesota NHL Team
The Rules:
- All players included on the roster must have played in the NHL in the 2017-18 season.
- All players must also be “from” Minnesota. Being born in the State of Hockey isn’t a prerequisite, but all included players must have spent more time than just playing here for a brief stint.
My Team:
Forwards:
Anders Lee - Derek Stepan - Blake Wheeler
Zach Parise - Nick Bjugstad - Brock Boeser
Brock Nelson - David Backes - Kyle Okposo
Casey Mittelstadt - Matt Cullen - Tyler Pitlick
Defense:
Ryan McDonagh - Justin Faulk
Nick Leddy - Dustin Byfuglien
Jake Gardiner - Matt Niskanen
Goalies:
Alex Stalock
Charlie Lindgren
What I Learned:
- Basically every quality player from Minnesota shoots right.
- We need more goalies.
- We can field a pretty darn good team if you are as comfortable with moving players out of their natural positions as I am.
Let Me Have It
Who did I forget? What did I screw up? Who makes your team?
