Schedule drops, D-camp starts, and RFAs tendered on a big offseason day, plus NHL news and notes

From April 20th to June 21st, news regarding the Minnesota Wild was few and far between. A signing here, a trade offer blocked there, and more Jason Zucker speculation than you could shake a King Clancy Memorial trophy at.

But now, the offseason really and truly has begun.

The Wild’s annual development camp started yesterday at Tria Rink, with most of Minnesota’s 2019 draft picks and other top prospects in attendance. The camp, which is open to the public each day, runs through Friday culminating in a 3-on-3 tournament.

Dave Schwartz of KARE 11 News was particularly impressed by first-round selection Matt Boldy on day one of camp:

Below is the list of participants for this year’s development camp. Today and tomorrow’s practices both start at 9:20 a.m., and Friday’s 3-on-3 tournament starts at 6:30 p.m. Again, all sessions are open to the public.

If that wasn’t enough, the NHL also released the full season schedules for all 31 teams, including the Wild. Check out our schedule breakdown from yesterday.

Last but not least, the Wild also qualified seven of their 11 restricted free agents yesterday, with Joel Eriksson Ek, Kevin Fiala, Ryan Donato, Nico Sturm, Louis Belpedio, Carson Soucy and Hunter Warner receiving offers.

That also means we can officially say thanks and good luck to Pontus Aberg.

Meanwhile, rumors abound about Anders Lee, Joe Pavelski and Wayne Simmonds.

Whew. Big day. Time for a nice, leisurely walk.
