Let’s go over some news and notes:

- Trade rumors are coming out left and right. According to Elliotte Friedman, the Maple Leafs may have some interest in Matt Dumba. [Hockey Wilderness]

- It’s sounding like Seattle’s NHL franchise may finally have a name — the Kraken! [Russian Machine Never Breaks]

- The Oilers signed forward Zack Kassian to a four-year contract extension with an AAV of $3.2 million for some reason. [Copper And Blue]

- Speaking of which, Kassian finally got to drop the gloves with Matthew Tkachuk last night.
