That’s Wild
-The Minnesota Wild and young goaltender Kappo Kahkonen reached agreement on a two-year deal. Kahkonen was a restricted free agent. [Hockey Wilderness]
-GM Bill Guerin is going all-out in the rebuild this offseason and it has certainly been a wake up call for some. The Wild are going to look like a significantly different team in 2020-21 and The Athletic’s Michael Russo covers it all. [The Athletic]
Off the trail...
-The biggest name in free agency has finally signed with their new team, as defenseman Alex Pietrangelo put pen to paper on a seven-year, $61.6-million contract ($8.8-million AAV) with the Vegas Golden Knights. [Knights On Ice]
-Due to the significant add on the blue line, the Golden Knights had to trade fellow defenseman Nate Schmidt to the Vancouver Canucks for a third-round pick. [Knights On Ice]
-It’s just transaction after transaction, but the Montreal Canadiens signed Tyler Toffoli to a sweetheart four-year deal with a cap hit of $4.25-million. Might be the steal of the offseason. [Eyes On The Prize]
Hall said Ralph Krueger's pitch, filled with passion about the Sabres, and Jack Eichel's presence in Buffalo were two major reasons why he chose the Sabres. He also said the turnaround of the Buffalo Bills under the Pegulas was another reason why he thinks the Sabres can do it.

-Times might be changing sooner rather than later in Buffalo — a city used to sporting disappointment. The new-look Sabres with Taylor Hall on Jack Eichel’s wing for at least one year might make their presence known in the Atlantic Division...well Hall certainly thinks so.

Pretty decent week for @Alexlaff13. pic.twitter.com/ojWj4TvpXs
-Alexis Lafreniere was the first player drafted last week to officially sign his entry-level contract. Certainly a busy week in October for the 19-year-old.
