Come in here and talk about the WJC and these hot prospects with everyone at Hockey Wilderness.

Today is a wonderful day. The 2021 World Junior Championship has been going on for a couple days and the five Minnesota Wild prospects in Edmonton have played fairly well, but there hasn’t been a day like today.

All five players are in action today and we are just too excited to contain ourselves. Sitting on the couch, watching the teenagers play hockey, dreaming of deep playoff runs in a couple years; everything is perfect.

Here’s the schedule:

USA vs. Czech Republic, 1pm CT

  • A wonderful way to start the day. Matt Boldy continuing his electric performance this tournament and Pavel Novak continuing to shoot his damn lights out.

Canada vs. Switzerland, 5pm CT

  • Okay no prospects here, but we can wish for a wonderful upset, Canada to lose, and immediately leave the tournament after embarrassing themselves.

Austria vs. Russia, 8:30pm CT

  • The nightcap features a couple of key prospects for the Wild: Obviously the wonderful Marco Rossi playing basically by himself, Marat Khusnutdinov centering Russia’s top line between two other high-end prospects in Toronto Maple Leafs’ Rodion Amirov and Vancouver Canucks wunderkind Vasili Podkolzin, also Vladislav Firstov is on this team. I’m stoked for this one.

Come in, warm up by the fire, turn on NHL Network and let’s talk about hockey.
