Let’s go over some news and notes:

- The Wild lost to the Capitals last night. They played a solid game for the most part, but still. Sad! [Hockey Wilderness]

- Kirill Kaprizov is amazing, as his 2019-20 campaign in the KHL exhibits. The Wild could have a good one on their hands, folks. [Hockey Wilderness]

- Put some respect on Kevin Fiala’s name.

Off the trail...

- There are plenty of powerful women in hockey, but who are the top 25? [Sportsnet]

- Some bad news for the Lightning. Star forward Steven Stamkos will be out 6-8 weeks as he recovers from surgery for a core muscle injury. [NHL]

- It’s official. After two seasons of playing games at the horrible Barclays Center, the Islanders are returning to Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the postseason and the entirety of the 2020-21 season.
