Dumb question, cap hits.

So, to be clear first and foremost, I am not suggesting any other team would agree to do this, only asking if it is possible......

Hypothetically, could the Wild trade to another team, and for the sake of this example they are a bottom dweller with lots of cap space, an asset like FIala or our #1 pick and as part of the deal, that team can accept to take on the salary cap obligations of one of the Suter or Parise contracts?

This assumes that team would be rebuilding and not have players they need that cap space for a couple years, so they would take one contract off of our hands in order to get whatever asset we offer?

I know other leagues allow something like this (NBA) , but I don't know how the NHL looks at it.

The opinions posted here are not those of Hockey Wilderness.
