“Julie, you’ve got the fast glove. I know this kid’s move. Triple deke, gloveside. Anticipate him and you got him.”
“What if he goes stick side?”
“He’s fancy, he’ll go glove.”
Apparently Calgary Flames goaltender Mike Smith includes D2 in his game prep routine, because his glove was white hot as seemingly every member of the Minnesota Wild thought of themselves as fancy and went gloveside only for Smith to pull down save after save.
That is, until Mikael Granlund, the fanciest of all the Wild players, managed to beat him gloveside in the third period. Jared Spurgeon, wisely deciding that it’s better to score than to be fancy found more success on the blocker side to force overtime. Sadly things didn’t work out for the Wild in the extra frame. Also, Nino Niederreiter is injured again so everything is terrible. so everythingHere’s Twin Cities local Keri Noble to bring us through the Walk.
